Today was another pizza experiment day.

I’ve lived in the greater Vancouver area for about 4 years now and as the neighborhood is almost entirely Sihk every pizza place boasts the best Butter Chicken Pizza in town!

Being from a small northern podunk I was very wary of this strange and absurd sounding pizza at first. No tomato sauce? No garlic in the crust? What the heck is CUMIN!?

Well suffice to say I was quickly converted on being offered a slice by a very enthusiastic owner.

2 nights ago I made butter chicken and thought it’d be fun to take the leftovers and give it a shot. Minus the common addition of red onion as the grocery was out.

The recipe is the same as my last posted experiment with some minor tweaks to the method bad on advice from readers (such as not using volumetric measurements for water) as well as substituting garlic powder with cumin and a bit of tumeric.

I am VERY pleased with how this came out. The pizza is bursting with flavour and is very succulent without being soggy or drippy. It was difficult to spread the chicken and sauce as one but they melted together wonderfully.

The crust is just plain delicious- Although it doesn’t taste much of cumin.

Overall I give this pizza an 8/10
